The batteries were sold with the following Lenovo and IBM ThinkPad notebook personal computers from February 2005 to September 2006:

Lenovo estimates that between 5% and 10% of ThinkPad notebook personal computers sold in the period February 2005 to September 2006 inclusive are affected by this recall.

Identifying features
Tseries (9T43, T43p, T60 and T60p) X series (X60 andX60s) R series (R51e, R52, R60 and R60e. Additionally, the potentially affected batteries were sold separately as extra or replacement batteries for the above series/models AND all T4x series AND T5x series notebook personal computers in the period February 2005 to September 2006 inclusive.
