What are the defects?

The cranks may not have been installed to factory specification. A rider may lose control and fall if the non-driveside crankarm disengages during riding.

What are the hazards?

If the non-driveside crankarm disengages during riding the rider may fall or lose control, increasing the risk of an accident or serious injury or death of the rider or bystanders.

What should consumers do?

Consumers should stop using the affected bicycles immediately and return them to their nearest Authorised Specialized Retailer for a free re-installation of the cranks.
