Mercedes-Benz Australia/Pacific Pty Ltd — Mercedes-Benz GLA Vehicles MY2019

Identifying features

VIN (Vehicle identification number)
See attached VIN list

What are the defects?

The mounting nuts of the control unit box in the engine compartment may not meet the torque specification. If these mounting nuts become loose, the control unit box may move, resulting in electrical connectors separating.

What are the hazards?

If these connectors separate, it could result in the engine cutting out, as well as a failure of the power steering, ESP or the Active Brake Assist. This would increase the risk of an accident, causing death or injury to the vehicle occupants and/or other road users.

What should consumers do?

Consumers are asked to contact their most convenient Mercedes-Benz Retailer for a free of charge inspection and repair if required.
