Proposed mandatory standard for tobacco labelling (graphic health warnings): second round consultation paper released

The ACCC has released the second round consultation paper and is seeking comments on the proposed mandatory Tobacco Labelling (Graphic Health Warnings) Standard by 8 November 2011. It is intended to be in place by 1 January 2012, with full compliance required by 1 July 2012.

The ACCC has released a consultation paper seeking comments on a proposed mandatory Tobacco Labelling (Graphic Health Warnings) Standard. It is intended to be in place by 1 January 2012, with full compliance required by 1 July 2012. Interested parties and individuals are invited to provide written submissions by 17 October 2011.

New permanent ban on miniature motorbikes (monkey bikes) with unsafe design features replaces existing ban

The earlier ban on miniature motorbikes with unsafe design features has been replaced with a new permanent ban to ensure miniature motorbikes which were not intended to be captured by the regulation no longer fall within its scope.
